Everything a good walkthrough needs

Automatic zoom

The camera glides in on what you click and type, with motion blur that keeps every move smooth.

Beautiful cursors

Swap the system pointer for a crisp, smoothed cursor in the style you like, at any size.

Clicks you can see

Ripples and soft click sounds show viewers exactly where you pressed.

Backgrounds and frames

Set your recording on a wallpaper or color with rounded corners, padding and shadow.

Multi-track timeline

Cut, trim and layer video, music and voiceover on as many tracks as you need.

Export your way

Choose the codec, resolution and frame rate for wherever the video is headed.

Opening Showcase for the first time

This early version is not yet signed by Apple or Microsoft, so your computer asks you to confirm once before it opens.

On a Mac
  1. Open the downloaded disk image and drag Showcase into Applications.
  2. Open Showcase. macOS says it cannot check the app for malicious software. Click Done.
  3. Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to Showcase, then confirm.
  4. When asked, allow Screen Recording (and the microphone if you narrate) so Showcase can record.
On Windows
  1. Run the downloaded installer.
  2. If Windows shows Windows protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.
  3. If your browser warns that the file is not commonly downloaded, choose Keep from the download's menu first.
